Creating your own Custom QR codes is simple and highly effective, I’ve included step by step instructions below for creating them on Canva but there are many other options you can use as well. Use them on printed promotional material linking to extra information, as part of interactive displays or directing people straight to your newsletter sign up or instagram account. They serve as a creative and interactive marketing tool, capturing the attention of potential customers and encouraging them to scan and engage with the code.
How to create a custom QR code in Canva:
- Go to the Canva website (www.canva.com) and log in to your account. If you don’t have an account, you can create one for free.
- Once you’re logged in, click on the “Create a design” button located on the top right corner of the page.
- In the search bar at the top of the page, type “QR code” and press Enter. This will bring up a selection of QR code templates.
- Browse through the templates and choose the one that best suits your needs. Canva offers a variety of designs to choose from, including different colors, shapes, and patterns.
- Once you’ve selected a template, you can customize it further. Click on the elements of the QR code, such as the background or the pattern, to change their color, size, or shape. You can also add additional elements to the design, such as text or images, to make it more personalized.
- To add text to the QR code, click on the “Text” tab on the left sidebar and choose the type of text you want to add. You can then click and drag the text box to position it wherever you like on the design.
- If you want to add images or other elements, click on the “Elements” tab on the left sidebar. From there, you can search for images, shapes, icons, or other design elements to add to your QR code.
- Once you’re satisfied with your design, click on the “Download” button located on the top right corner of the page. This will save your custom QR code to your computer as an image file.
- You can now use the downloaded QR code in your desired project. It can be printed, shared online, or used in any other way you see fit.
